The Christmas season has begun. We're waiting til we move in two weeks before we decorate for Christmas, so it's a little weird. I'm reading other people's blogs about their Christmas trees and crafts and baking, and I'm not in that mode yet-I'm throwing things in boxes and trying to cook meals that use up ingredients in the pantry!
There is, however, something festive we can do now: Christmas cards! In the past, we've sent a newsletter, updating people on our lives, etc. This year, we thought we'd wait til we had our new address so we could let people know that, but we thought now we needed to include a family picture since we've had a baby! So, we enter the world of actual Christmas cards. What to do?
Well, if you have a blog, you could write a post like this one and get 50 free holiday cards from Shutterfly.com! Details here.
We love using shutterfly for photo fun! We've had lots of great experiences with them! We especially love their custom photobooks-we've made albums of different places we've traveled, of our wedding, and now of the pregnancy and delivery of the little man! They look so professional and they're not super expensive. We did the birth announcements from them, too, and loved them! So many choices! Plus, shutterfly always has great sales and coupon codes that they email, so we rarely pay full price! So I've been browsing the Christmas card options on their website... We could do a picture of all of us.
But who are we kidding? People really just want to see EZ!
I like this one, with a big picture of his face, but I want something more than "Merry Christmas," something that points to the real reason we celebrate this time of year. Here are some of my favorites:
I think this might be my overall favorite:
