We woke up Friday (April 1st!) to find a fun surprise!
Our yard (and cars and everything else outside!) had been covered in bright strips of fabric!
This was a very time consuming thing for people to do (people who shall remain anonymous because, while we know the identity of the mastermind, we do not know who his cohorts were), but it was hilarious and made us feel quite loved.
And let me just say that after years of being a teacher and really not being a fan of April Fool's Day (seriously, people, it gets old when ALL DAY you have to pretend to be surprised or scared or whatever while 22 little munchkins keep saying things like "Mrs. Wise, there's a spider on you! April Fool's!" or "Mrs. Wise, my hand fell off! April Fool's!"), this was a much more fun one.
Elijah and Jewel both thought it was great, too.
We've now taken down most of it, but left the ones on Elijah's swing cuz they're fun, and apparently we missed one on one of the bushes out front. :)
