Small Victories

As Elijah gets older, he wants more table food and less pureed food. The problem has been that all the table food he wants to eat isn't really the healthiest! He does great with bread and crackers, but doesn't so much like to eat too many fruits and vegetables. So I'm still giving him pureed fruits and veggies at least once a day, but I keep trying healthier finger food options for him, hoping that eventually he'll start eating them! We've had a couple "wins" in the last week, so I'm encouraged! He has started (finally!) eating string cheese, blueberries, and even strawberries (though not in large quantity)! He also really loved the piece of spice cake I let him dive into yesterday... :)

Now to figure out some veggies he'll eat on his far we've got nothing!


  1. There are some cookbooks that show you how to "hide" veggies in foods, like cauliflower in mashed potatoes, etc

  2. Have you tried avocado? Caleb wasn't thrilled at first, but now he loves to pick up the little chunks.
